Scholarship InformationSpoon River Electric Cooperative awards two $500 scholarships to two high school seniors. High School seniors who are the son or daughter of a Spoon River Electric member can apply for a $500 Scholastic Scholarship or a $500 Honorary Scholarship, awarded by the cooperative at this year’s Annual Meeting, Thursday September 4, 2008. All requests and applications are due by August 25, 2008. Please see official rules and descriptions of scholarship below.

Grant InformationAttention Teachers and Administrators! Have a project you’d like funded? $20,000 available through Enter Touchstone Energy’s Classroom Empowerment Grant Competition and your school could win up to $1,000 per project submitted for classroom and education enhancement projects! Touchstone Energy Classroom Empowerment Grants totaling $20,000 are being funded by the Illinois Touchstone Energy electric cooperatives for the 2008-2009 school year. To apply for grants, send a double-spaced typewritten request (not to exceed 3 pages) that includes the following:
Although electric-oriented projects aren’t required, extra consideration will be given to projects that are electric oriented. Photos and supporting data are optional.
