Jack Clark

Jack Clark

Chairman: District 5, Lewistown

Jack and his wife, Peggy, live in Lewistown where Jack farms grain and cattle. They are the parents of three children, Tim, Julie and Jen. Jack has earned a Bachelor's Degree from University of Illinois, a Master's Degree from Montana State University, and PhD from University of Missouri. He is a trustee at the Lewistown United Methodist Church and currently serves as Chairman of Spoon River Electric's Board of Directors. His hobbies include watching his grandchildren play sports.

 

Bernard Marvel

Vice President: District 8, Browning

Bernard and his wife, Carol, are the parents of three children. He is retired from farming. Bernard belongs to the Browning Christian Church, is a life member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and a Member of Academy of Model Aeronautics, Jacksonville Propkickers and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of Spoon River Electric Cooperative's Board of Directors, Supervisor of Browning Township, and Chariman of the Multi-Township Assesor District #2 Board in Schuyler County. Bernard is serving his fifth term on the Board. He enjoys flying remote control airplanes, relaxing and still drives a school bus on the morning route.

Steve Pille

Secretary: District 4, Glasford

Steve is an Industrial Technology Teacher at Limestone Community High School in Bartonville, IL. He and his wife, Mary, are the parents of two children, Anna and Alex. He is a partner in his family grain farm. Steve belongs to St. Peter Lutheran Church and currently serves as Secretary of Spoon River Electric's Board of Directors. His hobbies include cabinet making and gardening.

 

Lyle H. Nelson

Treasurer: District 1, Abingdon

Lyle is employed by ALPHA F.S. as a feed salesperson in Knox and Fulton counties. Lyle is also a grain and livestock farmer. Lyle graduated from Abingdon High School, is a township trustee, is a member of the Catholic Church and currently serves as Treasurer of Spoon RIver Electric Cooperative's Board of Directors. He enjoys traveling, golf and raising horses.

Terry A. Beam

Assistant Treasurer: District 6, Cuba

Terry and his wife, Sherry, are the parents of three sons, Brian, Aaron and Bradley. He has earned a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Western Illinois University and is a retired physics and math teacher from Canton School District. Terry attends Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoys hunting, fishing and woodworking.

District 2, Avon

Greg and his wife, Nancy, have three children. Greg owns Bacon Hill Farm, Inc. in the Avon area. He raises grain and hogs with his son, Randall. Greg graduated from Bushnell Prairie City High School and the University of Illinois with a BS in Agriculture Economics. Greg belongs to the Methodist Church and has served on the arm Bureau Boar, Riverland FS Board and Fulton County Merit Commission. He enjoys the Community Theatre in Macomb.

Kathy Smysor

District 7, Smithfield

Kathy and her husband, Dennis, are the parents of three children, Matthew, Marie and David. She graduated from WIU with a BA in English and an MA in history. She is a retired teacher for the Cuba School District. Kathy belongs to the Fulton County Historical Society, The Red Brick School, attends the Smithfield Nazarene Church and is currently a director of Spoon River Electric Cooperative. Kathy enjoys sewing, baking, reading and watching Sci-fi movies.

 

Jim Banks

District 3, Canton

Jim and his wife, Carolene are the parents of two children. Jim is a retired high school mathematics teacher with a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State University. He currently serves on Spoon River Electric Cooperative's Board of Directors. Organizations Jim belongs to include Wesley United Methodist Church, YMCA and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association. Jim enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, tennis and pickelball.

District 9, Havana

Scott is a self-employed farmer of corn, soybeans, hay and cattle. He and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of Vonda Sowers and Carl Parrish. Scott's hobbies include watching his six grandchildren play sports as well as hunting and fishing.
